The Tamil movie Retro, which had Suriya in the lead role, was officially declared to have made Rs. 235 Cr. from both theater and non-theatrical receipts on Sunday. Retro is on track to finish its three-week run in theaters after its May 1, 2025, theatrical debut.
As of right now, the entire amount of money made by the film’s makers (2D Entertainment), distributor Sakthi Film Factory in Tamil Nadu, and distributor Stone Bench Films through May 18 indicates that Retro is a successful movie for all parties involved.
It is important to note that Retro has proven to be a secure and lucrative business strategy for the majority of companies. However,the introduction of Retro this month caused losses in a few foreign locations,such as North America,which includes the USA and Canada.
The non-theatrical money from OTT, satellite, and audio rights is included in Retro’s Rs. 235 Cr gross. Considering the figures, the expected retro box office receipts range from Rs. 110 to Rs. 120 Cr.
