According to data from the multi-commodity exchange (MCX), gold prices are up ₹301, or 0.34 percent, at ₹88,376 per 10 grams as of early April 7 amid the impending global trade war. In contrast, the price of MCX silver has increased by 2%, or from ₹1,487 to ₹88,698 per kilogram.
On April 7, at 9.55 am, the Indian Bullion Association (IBA) reported that the price of 24-carat gold was ₹88,170/10 gm. Additionally, the price of 22-carat gold was ₹80,823/10 gms. On the other hand, the IBA website stated that the price of silver was ₹88,690/kg (Silver 999 Fine) at 9.55 am on April 7.
