Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna work together on film for the first time in Sikandar.

New Delhi: On March 30, Sikandar,starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna,debuted in theaters. The movie made Rs 26 crore on its first day of release, getting off to a strong start.The action movie lost steam at the box office despite its early momentum.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk,Sikandar made Rs 4 lakh at the ticket counter on Day 24 (April 22). Following this,the movie has made a total of Rs 110.2 crore at the domestic box office.According to the study,Sikandar earned Rs 184.71 crore globally.

Sikandar is financed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and directed by AR Murugadoss. In addition to the main actors,Prateik Babbar,the film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Sharman Joshi.

Emraan Hashmi recently defended Salman Khan in the wake of Sikandar’s dismal box office performance.

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan,the actor disclosed that he believed the superstar will eventually recover.

“I haven’t spoken to him in a long time,”Emraan Hashmi stated. However,I believe he will recover. He is incredibly intelligent. It’s been decades,yet har cheez mein utaar chadhav aata hai. Ten saal pehle log same cheez keh rahe Shah Rukh Khan ke liye (everything has its ups and downs because he has been around for so many decades). The same thing was said about Shah Rukh Khan ten years ago: he recovered. As a result,they have too much industry knowledge and experience. Sometimes you have no control over this.

“When things go right,you can’t quantify that either,”Emraan Hashmi continued,praising Salman Khan’s experience in the business. You have no control over it. It’s not that he isn’t giving his all when making movies. Things simply don’t work sometimes. The outcome of a movie isn’t always what you expected. However,I believe he has a wealth of life and industry experience. His charisma,presence, and acting skills are outstanding. I believe he will recover quickly.
