The Sensex and the Nifty 50, two benchmarks of the Indian stock market, increased by more than 1% apiece in intraday trading on Thursday, June 5, as a result of widespread purchasing in the Indian stock market.
In contrast to its previous finish of 80,998.25,the Sensex began at 81,196.08 and surged more than 900 points,or 1%,to reach an intraday high of 81,911.13. In contrast to its previous close of 24,620.20,the Nifty 50 began at 24,691.20 and surged more than 1% to reach an intraday high of 24,899.85.
Additionally, the BSE Smallcap and Midcap indices increased by nearly 1%.
Investors gained around ₹4 lakh crore in a single session as the total market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE increased to almost ₹449 lakh crore from ₹445 lakh crore in the previous session.
