Important market factors for the upcoming week :
As industrial output increased by 3% in March and global markets held steady due to ongoing bilateral trade talks with the United States, markets ended the day higher, helped by strong India’s IIP statistics.
The movement of foreign institutional investors (FIIs), who were net buys for the week, contributed to this and improved market sentiment. Ajit Mishra, SVP,Research,Religare Broking Ltd.,added,”The RBI has shown remarkable resilience and dynamism and expressed optimism over India’s growth prospects.”
Mishra added that one notable sector-wise driver was the ongoing purchasing in the real estate industry. The automotive,IT,pharmaceutical, and energy industries also reported increases. On the other hand, the industries of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG),metals, and media saw a decline at the end of the week. In the face of intraweek volatility and fluctuations, broader markets followed suit, closing flat to slightly lower.
What kind of trading technique should you employ?
Mishra advised investors to stick to a bullish stance by favoring hedged index positions and using a “buy on dips” strategy.
In the meantime, sector-specific preferences continue to give rise to chances for selective stock selection. Therefore, finding stocks with advantageous risk-reward setups should be the main goal,he continued.
