Sensex, Nifty flat; BEL, Reliance lead gains : July 1, 2025
The Nifty 50 closed the day up 25 points, or 0.10 percent,at 25,541.80,while the Sensex concluded the day 91 points,or 0.11 percent,higher at 83,697.29. The small-cap and mid-cap sectors saw lower closing prices.The BSE Smallcap index fell 0.18 percent,while the BSE Midcap index fell 0.07 percent.
Despite conflicting international signals, the benchmarks of the Indian stock market, the Sensex and the Nifty 50, closed the day marginally higher on Tuesday, July 1, thanks to increases in shares of BEL, Reliance Industries, and HDFC Bank.
