In a recent interview,Dia Mirza talked about her early years in Mumbai and the memories she shared with Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra.
Dia Mirza,Lara Dutta,and Priyanka Chopra all gained notoriety simultaneously after winning well-known international beauty pageants in the same year. However, their fates drove them in opposite routes as soon as they joined the Hindi cinema industry. In a recent interview, Dia recounted the days when she and Lara had an apartment the “size of a matchbox” and ate instant noodles together. She also claimed that Priyanka had a lot of issues to deal with, which became more difficult with time.
“We (Lara and I) shared Wai Wai noodles, we had no money,” Dia stated in an interview with Zoom. Dia said that she had already experienced three failures by the time Priyanka and Lara made their Andaz debut, and that the trip got more difficult for her since “naturally, there was a lot of comparison.” She recalled their early days navigating Bollywood and asserted that such parallels never harmed their equation with each other. “Lara and I didn’t have the same level of parental support as Priyanka. Because she was a model,Lara already lived here.She shared her matchbox-sized flat with me and gave her heart to me.She recalled,I remember packing for her Miss Universe and leaving.
Dia claimed that she and Lara would frequently attend events wearing pricey gowns and posed with elegant champagne bottles before returning home to instant noodles because that’s all we could afford. Just look at us, and we’d both giggle uncontrollably, like bhaade ke kapde (rented clothing). “Bank men paise nahi hain par hum kitne glamorous lag rahe hain” (We appear so gorgeous although we have no money in the bank).
According to Dia Mirza, Priyanka Chopra began performing “extraordinarily well” right away, but “she had other battles to fight and deal with and she continued to,and some of those just intensified with time so one only had awe and respect for that.You sort of exclaimed,What incredible confidence,after looking at that.I recall asking myself,How much farther could I go if I were half the actor she is?

Dia noted that Priyanka had solid support from her family and stated that neither she nor Lara borrowed any money from her parents.Even in the case of Priyanka,it’s not as though she was coming from Her parents were quite interested,particularly her mother and brother,and she had strong support.
