Is today’s Indian stock market closed?
In honor of Holi 2025,which comes on March 14,the Indian stock market exchanges,the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE),have announced a holiday. As a result, there will be no trading activity today.

According to the BSE’s stock market holiday calendar for 2025, all trading segments on the BSE and NSE will be closed today, including the Equity, Equity Derivative, and SLB segments; Currency Derivatives segments; NDS-RST, and Tri Party Repo segments.

However, trade will be closed in the morning (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) and open in the evening (5:00 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm) for the Commodity Derivatives Segment and Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment.

According to the schedule of trading holidays for 2025, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) would also be closed for trading in the morning and reopen at 5 PM in the evening.

March 2025 stock market holidays :
There will be two stock market vacations in March 2025: one for Holi 2025 and another for Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id). Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Id) on March 31, 2025, and Holi on March 14, 2025, are the dates of these two stock market holidays. According to the stock market holiday list, on March 14, 2025, trading on the BSE and NSE will be suspended in observance of Holi 2025. Due to the Holi celebration, the Indian stock market is closed today.
