IPL 2025: When “loyal” cricketer Virat Kohli won the IPL cup for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the first time in eighteen years, Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra delivered a heartfelt homage to the great player.
In an X post, Mahindra stated, “Loyalty like this doesn’t just win titles — it carves legacies.”
Mahindra emphasized Virat Kohli’s steadfast devotion to the team throughout the years, even though they didn’t win the title: “Virat Kohli gave his heart to a team that had never touched the trophy for 18 years.”
“Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when dawn is still dark,”he added,quoting Rabindranath Tagore.

When he won the match, a tearful Virat Kohli remarked, “I gave my youth, my prime, and my experience.”
“I have given everything to the team for the last 18 years,” the famous cricket player continued.Despite everything,I have remained devoted to this squad. I supported the team and the fans. They were standing behind me. I’ve always wanted to win this with them.
“This is far more special than winning it with anyone else,” Virat added,comparing his IPL victory to the trophies he earned with the Indian squad.
