Regarding the Trump-Modi meeting, Shashi Tharoor said she hoped Modi stood up for Indian immigration. He highlighted encouraging remarks from both leaders and applauded the results of trade talks. Trump’s compliment to Modi, according to Tharoor, was a powerful affirmation of his negotiating abilities.

After President Donald Trump called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a better negotiator than himself, Congressman Shashi Tharoor offered a rare compliment for the Indian leader.

President Trump reportedly referred to PM Modi as a brilliant leader who is doing a fantastic job in India when he welcomed him to the White House. The US president further praised him, saying, “He is a much tougher negotiator than me, and he is a much better negotiator than me.” There’s no competition at all.

Tharoor said , “To hear a man like Donald Trump, whose defence secretary yesterday (Thursday) called him the greatest negotiator in the world, announcing that the Indian prime minister was a better negotiator than he was, that sounds like something Mr Modi can put in the bank, that sounds very good.”

Several people had strong emotions to the comment.

To one, he embodies the civics textbook notion of opposition.

For example, “Sir, bus galat party me ho aap insaan sahi ho.”

a follower on Instagram, “Andhbhakt chamcho isko kehtey hai responsible opposition…. thoda rahul Gandhi ko bhi dikha deyna.”

Tharoor defended his praise of PM Modi on Saturday, stating that “we cannot always speak only in terms of party interest” and that he spoke with India’s interests in mind.

Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor said the Center said the Trump-Modi meeting went well.

Modi told the Americans, ‘You can’t insult our people,’ behind closed doors. They belong in our nation, so you can send them back, but don’t do it in handcuffs and shackles on a military plane. They are unlawful, and we’ll take care of them.” Regarding the problem of illegal migrants in the US, Tharoor spoke to PTI Videos.

“I hope Modi made the statement in private. “We’re not sure,” the MP from Thiruvananthapuram continued.

In the meantime, Tharoor stated that “they have decided to sit down together and do a serious negotiation that will conclude by September-October” over the trade and tariff issue. That, in my opinion, is a really positive result; otherwise, choices that would have impacted our exports would have been made in Washington.

“So far, the Prime Minister’s and President Trump’s press releases have given us really positive information. A few of the major issues that we all had have been resolved. “I said,” Tharoor said.
