When Team India won the Champions Trophy, how much money did the players get? How about Pakistan, the hosts?

At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Team India, captained by Rohit Sharma, defeated New Zealand by four wickets to win the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. With six balls remaining and four wickets in hand,the Indian team put on an all-around display to chase down 252. India took home the trophy and $2.24 million in cash as a result of their victory.
INR 19.45 crore is about equivalent to $2.24 million. This sum is a lot less than Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, and Rishabh Pant’s Indian Premier League (IPL) paycheck.

Shreyas Iyer was acquired by Punjab Kings for INR 26.75 crore. However, when the Lucknow Super Giants paid INR 27 crore for Rishabh Pant, it became the costliest buy-in IPL auction in history.
Regarding Venkatesh Iyer,KKR paid INR 23.75 crore to hire the all-around player. The left-handed batter was recently chosen the team’s vice-captain as well.
After placing second,the Kiwis will get $1.12 million (INR 9.72 crore) in prize money when they return to New Zealand.
South Africa and Australia, the losing semi-finalists, will each get $560,000 (INR 4.86 crore). However, Pakistan and England, who came in seventh and eighth, will each get $140,000 (INR 1.21 crore), while Afghanistan and Bangladesh, who came in fifth and sixth, respectively, will each get $350,000 (INR 3.04 crore).
It should be noted that each group stage victory is valued at around $34,000 (INR 29.5 lakh). It is guaranteed that each participating club will receive $125,000 (INR 1.08 crore).
The whole prize fund for the 2025 Champions Trophy was $6.9 million (INR 59.9 crore),a staggering 53% increase over the 2017 competition.
