

Despite the day’s encouraging inflows, FIIs have been net sellers in 2025, selling stocks valued at ₹1.24 lakh crore as far.
However, since the start of the year, DIIs have continuously supported the market, with their net purchases coming close to ₹3 lakh crore.
FIIs have reported net outflows of ₹4,575.59 crore so far in June, while DIIs have made net purchases of ₹16,170.95 crore. This underscores the robust domestic support that has been propelling the market’s recent recovery.
FIIs have reduced their large-cap stock holdings from approximately 80% to less than 77% since 2015. According to the research, they did, however, considerably diversify their holdings throughout that time, today owning 80 percent of the Nifty-500 companies, as opposed to just 20 percent twenty years earlier.
With the help of themes like the China+1 strategy,tech-enabled consumption growth,and the ongoing capex upcycle,FIIs are gradually expanding their exposure to industries like chemicals,EMS,telecom,financials,and infrastructure.
