According to the BMS opening report, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 has outsold all Bollywood films in terms of first-day ticket sales.

With record ticket sales of 295K on its first day, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 got off to a great start at the ticket sales window, outpacing all but one Bollywood film from 2025. In BookMyShow’s ranking of the top 10 opening-day ticket sales, Akshay Kumar has come in at number two.

Ajay Devgn, who came in second on the list of the top 10 BMS ticket sales on the first day of Hindi film releases in 2025, was overtaken by Akshay Kumar in just 36 days. On the first day of the event, Raid 2 sold 278K tickets!

Raid 2 is defeated by Housefull 5.

It is evident that Housefull 5 has sold 17K more tickets on BMS than Raid 2 did on its first day!Nevertheless,none of the movies have been able to overtake Chhaava,starring Vicky Kaushal,which sold 669K tickets on its first day of release on BMS.
