Day 5 Box Office Collection: Actor Suriya’s film Retro saw a huge decline in revenue on Monday following a respectable long weekend run.
On Monday,Day 5,Retro’s earnings fell by a staggering 58.53 percent,according to industry tracker Sacnilk. In the last five days,the Tamil action drama has seen two such sharp drops.
Thursday’s opening day sales for Suriya’s film were a huge success, earning ₹19.25 crore on the day of its May 1 release.
With a total of ₹43.48 crore in four days,it had successfully navigated beyond the Friday slump to have a successful weekend.
Telugu and Tamil are the two languages in which Retro is available.
Day 5 of the Retro Box Office Collection :
On Monday,Day 5,Retro made ₹3.38 crore,according to Sacnilk. The Suriya-starring film made ₹4.40,000 in Telugu and ₹2.94 crore in Tamil.
Despite a 59.74% decline in Friday sales, the movie’s earnings remained consistent on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, their results saw yet another decline of about 60%.
Retro’s total revenue at the conclusion of Day 5 is ₹46.53 crore as a result of this new drop in earnings.
On Monday,Retro’s overall Tamil occupancy rate was 22.54%,according to Sacnilk. On May 5,Retro’s occupancy rate among Telugu viewers was 13.36%.
Its main rival is Nani’s HIT 3,which saw a 60% decline in Monday’s earnings and made close to ₹4 crore.
Global Retro Box Office Revenue :
According to Sacnilk,the Suriya film brought in ₹73.5 crore at the global box office,of which ₹22.6 crore came from overseas sales.
In just five days,Retro made ₹50.9 crore in India.

Suriya and Pooja Hegde play the key roles.
Jayaram,Joju George,Karunakaran,Nassar,and Prakash Raj all play significant roles in the movie. A special appearance is also made by actor Shriya Saran.
